The Wooden Rooster 2026
Hyunbo (Kim Sung Eun)
About the work
The virtue of the wooden rooster, from Zhuangzi: the fighting cock trained until it stands like carved wood — unstartled, unmoved — before whom no rival dares crow. Two characters hewn thick as chisel-work, with the lesson and its hangul rendering beside. Written on New Year's Day 2026, a resolution in ink.
