Choe Chi-won: The Way Beyond Words Undated

About the work

"Spring comes, and flowers fill the earth; autumn goes, and leaves stream through the sky. The utmost Way lies beyond written words — it has always been right before your eyes." A quatrain by the great Silla scholar Choe Chi-won, driven down the sheet in a single wild-cursive column with a slender hangul rendering tucked beside it. The truth that cannot live in books, shown by the brush itself.
