Fragrance Undated
Hyunbo (Kim Sung Eun)
About the work
The character for fragrance, seated at the center in seal form, symmetrical as incense rising from a bronze vessel. Around it, in hangul, the heart of the lotus essay: "unstained though it rises from the mud… its fragrance, the farther it carries, the purer it grows." Form and meaning perfume each other.
